Yes, but it is not the kind of god-level counterattack that turns a 40-year-old back to a 20-year-old like what is said on the Internet. It is more of a "reverse overtaking" that can bring your skin condition that was damaged in advance back on track, and even leave you far behind your peers.
I have been in the skin care industry for almost ten years, and I have seen many more real-life examples than marketing cases. I used to have a friend who worked in Internet operations. Before he turned 32, he stayed up until two or three o'clock every day to change his plans. He didn't even bother to carry an umbrella when he went out in the summer, let alone apply sunscreen. When he was 30 years old, his condition was particularly obvious. The apples of his skin sank, his nasolabial folds were so deep that he dared not go out without concealing his blemishes, and his skin was so yellow that it looked like he had stayed up all night for a week. The kids who had just graduated from the same department opened their mouths and called her "sister". She even complained that she looked five or six years older than her peers. Later, she took a break from being naked for more than half a year. Instead of buying tens of thousands of expensive face creams, she first stabilized her damaged sensitive barrier. Then she always wore a three-piece hat, mask, and sunscreen umbrella when going out. At night, she insisted on using a low-concentration A-alcohol with a peptide essence that established her tolerance, and she had a light session every two months. She has been rejuvenating her skin for two years without any hurry. When I saw her last time at a party, her skin was tight and as bright as if she had brought her own lightening board. Her nasolabial folds had faded a lot. People believed her when she said she was 28. Now her colleagues in the new company think she is a fresh graduate who has just worked for two years. Do you think this is a counterattack?
Of course, many people think that anti-aging skin care is all about IQ tax, and I can completely understand this statement. After all, there are many people who spend tens of thousands on expensive products on their faces, but nothing changes in the end. A fan complained to me before, saying that she spent hundreds of thousands a year on anti-aging products and followed the trend of acid peels every day. As a result, her skin became more and more sensitive and collapsed faster. When I looked at her skin care routine, she applied high-concentration A-alcohol, fruit acid, and functional masks on top of each other. The barrier has long been rotten, and even the best anti-aging ingredients cannot be absorbed. Instead, it burdens the skin. It is strange that it is useful. There are also those who stay up until 3 or 4 o'clock every day, apply thousands of dollars of anti-aging cream before going to bed and feel everything is fine. Don't blame the skin care products for not working. You make them ten times faster than replenishing them, and no magical ingredients can save them.
In fact, anti-aging is like paying off an "aging debt" to your skin. If you worked every day for the past ten years and didn't use sunscreen or skin care, you owed a lot of debt. If you start paying it back now, it will definitely not be repaid in two or three months. It is also impossible to be in better condition than someone who has never owed a debt after paying it off. But as long as you use the right method and pay off the debt in half or eighty percent, your condition will return to the level it should be. It may even be much better than people of the same age who don't take care of themselves. It is definitely possible.
I have to be honest. Don’t believe the nonsense in marketing about “reverse aging in 7 days” and “you will look 10 years younger after applying facial cream.” If your dermis has become lax and soft tissue has moved down, applying skin care products is of no use. At most, it can improve your dryness. If you really want to improve fine lines, you still have to rely on medical aesthetics. But if you only suffer from premature aging, deepening of lines, and dull skin color due to a poor work schedule and lack of sun protection, if you find the right method and persist for more than half a year, you can really see an effect comparable to a "face change." There are really too many examples like this around me. To put it bluntly, it’s not whether skin care products can achieve counterattack. It’s whether you understand the logic of anti-aging and whether you have the determination to persevere. Don’t have unrealistic fantasies, and don’t deny them all. Find the right path that suits you, and you will always get surprising results.
